Appeared different in flight - couldn’t explain why just GISS was different than DCCO*. I finally saw where it perched (on the 6th cement structure going north under the I-5 bridge) and it had glossy greenish iridescence on the wings. The bill appeared dark and had a pale patch on the throat. The breast was a dark brownish color. I had the thought that it might be an oiled DCCO but the impression was BRCO. After reviewing photos and videos and comments from others who saw the bird and/or have more experience with this species, I believe this is a Brandt's Cormorant. *Something that was not in my ID wheelhouse was the crook in the neck on DCCO vs BRCO - I wonder if this is why the flight silhouette looked off to me as it circled the bridge. The bird remained the next morning and allowed several other birders to see it and confirm the ID. I am curious if the storms and strong winds in the area the night before had something to do with it showing up. And did it come South from the Sound or West along the Columbia? Poor iPhonescoped video here: https://flic.kr/p/2krXhAY
