Best bird was a male Pileated Woodpecker drilling, calling, digging out cavities and acting territorial! Bird seen at Pk #23, where quite a bit of older drilling and holes were found in various logs/trees, suggesting the bird has been in this area for likely more than a month. Bird first heard and flew out of woods northeast of Pk #27. Both areas are north of Lake Marmo (as compared to south/southeast of Lake Marmo where others were seen a week ago).
