Galah pair perching in Tuart (Eucalyptus gomphocephala). Galahs are now a common bird on the Swan Coastal Plain north and south of Perth, Western Australia. They have established in this area since the 1970s, probably because clearing, urbanisation and the drying climate have made the coastal plain environment more suitable for them. Males have dark brown eyes, females have red eyes. Elevation: 28 m. Date added to IBC: June 29, 2017.
