A breeding male White-winged Widowbird. White-winged Widowbirds (Euplectes albonotatus) are strongly sexually dimorphic – the plumage of the male turns black in the summer breeding season. White-winged Widowbirds are mostly found in savanna with tall grass, near the edges of wetlands and in rank vegetation. The males are polygynous, mating with up to four females within his territory, defending it against other Widowbirds. Elevation: 1305 m. Date added to IBC: February 15, 2019.
