A Speckled Pigeon at the entrance to its nest in a pipe. Speckled Pigeons (Columba guinea) are common in rocky areas in sub-Sharan Africa, and are often associated with human habitations, where they become quite confiding. This bird was at the entrance to its nest in a pipe in the kitchen wall in the Pilanesberg Centre, Pilanesberg National Park South Africa. Elevation: 1146 m. Date added to IBC: February 15, 2019.
