The Thorn-tailed Rayaditos (Aphrastura spinicauda) is a tiny, restless furnariid bird of the southern temperate forests of Chile and Argentina. They actively forage for small invertebrates in the forest understorey and canopy, and occasionally on the ground. This Rayadito was hunting amongst a dense tangle of branches in mature Nothofagus forest on the edge of the Pingo River in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile. Elevation: 1264 m. Date added to IBC: March 14, 2019.
