Burchell's Starling hunting in flood litter. Burchell’s Starling (Lamprotornis australis) is one of Africa’s spectacular glossy starling species. It lives in open woodland and savanna, and has a restricted distribution within Kruger Park, occurring mainly in the area around Satara Restcamp and southwards. This bird was hunting amongst flood litter at the edge of the Bume River crossing in southern Kruger Park. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: June 9, 2018.
