A male wiping it's bill off a branch and flying away. According to Restall's Birds of Northern South America, the nominate violaceus is now called Amazonian Violaceous Trogon, with (at least ) the (sub)species caligatus now called Northern Violaceous or Gartered Trogon. Elevation: 23 m. Date added to IBC: June 23, 2016.
