Kommentarer

Habitat: Dry; cyclic wet-dry; second growth; evergreen; canyon-ravine; roadside. Dominant plants: Acacia modesta, Dodonea viscosa, grasses. Probably a female. Response to playback: playback of rising, monotonous "twee, twee" etc. (the second song type recorded) brought the emphatic 'wee-chew, wee-chew" call apparently in response. Playback of the first call recorded brought approach of an individual in the brush (female sutorius probably) but no vocal response. Bird disappeared shortly in same direction it had come from.
