Subtitle: Dawn Chorus. An Adirondack dawn chorus as heard from the sphagnum mat of a black spruce-tamarack bog. The recording is dominated by White-throated Sparrows (Zonotrichia albicollis) and mosquitoes, with Swainson's Thrush (Catharus ustulatus) and Lincoln's Sparrow (Melospiza lincolnii) also prominent at times. The recording began at 4:48 am, while still relatively dark, and ended at 5:07 am. Habitat: Bog. Equipment Notes: Decoded MS Stereo. The MS pair was placed on a small Ultrapod tripod that was placed directly on a drier section of the bog, resulting in the microphones being only a foot or so off the ground.
