NOTES: HIGH CHIPS. Sex: 1 UNKNOWN BNA: Possibly the Seep (Cee) call is heard. CZ 01/06/2004. [I suspect these calls instead represent the "tsip" calls of BNA, in places given in rapid series (e.g., 1:14-1:16; as the "si twitter" of Post and Greenlaw [1975. Auk 92: 461-492]). In the background is at least one Primary Song by this species (1:01), but it was not given by the calling bird. This represents A. m. macgillivraii based on range. Quality changed from 2-3 to 1-2, 2 (quite good in places without other birds calling) - CAM - 17 March 2005]. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm. Habitat: Wetland, Marine, Salt Marsh.

Additional species

  • Red-winged Blackbird Agelaius phoeniceus
  • Seaside Sparrow Ammospiza maritima
  • American Crow Corvus brachyrhynchos
  • Great-tailed Grackle Quiscalus mexicanus
