Continuing bird first found by Curtis Marantz and Louis Bevier on 1/8/14. This bird was first spotted today by Guy McCaskie at around 4 pm. It was in the company of mainly Ring-billed Gulls and a few Bonaparte's Gulls. The structure was similar to Bonaparte's, but was remarkable larger, and slightly smaller than the Ring-billed Gulls. The lighting was difficult, but when it turned in a certain orientation both the red bill and red legs were visible. The mantle was a light gray, a bit lighter than the Bonaparte's. I never saw it fly or raise its wings to evaluate the primaries. Distant photos obtained:
