NOTES: On edge of a riparian Acacia thicket, last two cuts in response to playback of own song, no response to prerorded material of S. albescens, though sounds similar to Parker LNS#51865. After listening to some other material, it seems like this is S. a. australis, the southern Argentinian ssp., but birds in Salta in between sing like regular albescens. Weird. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Synallaxis albescens australis to Synallaxis albescens to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Habitat: Forest, Deciduous Forest, Desert, Active Agricultural, Scrub, Edge.
