You can hear the BWVI mew call playback at the end on the sound clip. Note how similar they are.
Observasjonsdetaljer
Red-eyed vireo or Black-whiskered vireo. Mewing calls came from a dense and low/medium height tree, over standing water. Unusual for a REVI to be foraging in such a manner, especially when compared to the conspecifics traveling the park in the tree tops, usually following each other around. BWVI has been recorded in the park before. Unable to spot or entice bird to come out, and after around 10 minutes of trying the bird went silent. Both species have very similar mew calls. More or less unresponsive to playback of either species. When comparing the two species' audio, the recorded call seems to be most similar to the BWVI. The REVI seems to have a lower, more "myeehr", while the BWVI has a more "myeeh" without much of an change at the end of the call.
