NOTES: vocalizations at nesting colony at entrance of cave [These vocalizations are unlike what I am accustomed to hearing from this species and also somewhat different from the songs described in BNA. This appears to represent song by birds coming to roost for the evening (and thus likely perched rather than in flight), so there are few of the calls that one typical hears in flight. There are "weet" calls at 0:57-1:08, 6:01-6:10, and 6:18-6:22, and both "weet" and "che" calls combined at 4:34-4:44 and 5:39-5:47. Quality changed from "E" to 1-2 - CAM - 26 January 2005]. Number of individuals=UUc20-30;. Social Context: Colony. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest, Mixed Coniferous/Deciduous.

Additional species

  • Northern Mockingbird Mimus polyglottos
  • Painted Bunting Passerina ciris
