Having just photographed another Thick-billed Kingbird approximately half a mile north on Mineral Wells Trail, I parked in the Merry Go Round lot and crossed over past the tennis courts and immediately (luckily, more like) spotted another Thick-billed Kingbird high atop a large Sycamore above the picnic tables, directly north of the tennis courts. Here 34.134285, -118.282801 I believe this is the individual which arrived in the area a month ago, missing its tail, which has now regrown. Though it remained quiet, it stayed in the trees lomg enough for lots of photos.
