Small gull seen on the water (likely a bird that flew off the lock above the dam when a ship came through). Noticed a gull that was this chocolate color, not dissimilar from nearby Juv. and 1 cyc AHGU. However, bird sat much lower in the water and had a small dovelike head and petite black bill. Bird also had quite frosty scapulars and coverts with seemingly brown primaries, though light was quickly fading in the cloudy conditions. Digiscopes taken.
