After arriving at 2320 Spring Blvd I was told the bird hadn't been seen for an hour and that the TOWA flock was moving around a bit. Decided to check the street since so many people were on the back deck. Ran into Linda who checked the street southeast with no luck. I decided to come back to the backyard to join everyone else and stake it out after 15 mins. More people arrived and no bird. About an hour after I arrived I refound it in yard next door to the southeast on a branch in an oak, then moved to a conifer, then to the oak closest to the deck to the southwest, then northwest into the rhododendrons . Over the span of about 5ish minutes (or less) it was seen intermittently in those spots, bolting out of view, and Reya refound as it reappeared from that general area. Maybe 30 mins later Nolan called it out from the street across Magnus' in low brush up a hill where it continued to climb up into a holly tree, then madrone, conifer, and then gone again. Near the end of the checklist about 30-45 mins later I left and refound it in the backyard of 2550 Spring Blvd (near the 2222 Spring Blvd sign) where from the road I had a nice view of the yard and bubbler fountain. I believe I heard it calling, saw it first pop up in a bush 20 ft from me, then in a young tree without leaves in the yard, and then it disappeared. It is moving a lot and it seems like it has a loop, but the loop gets wider as the day moves on. Check Spring Blvd down to Fairmount if not at the house. Bright yellow male with distinct black hood framing face, oliveish colored back. Poor photo as a panicked to get any documentation I could lol. Can't believe this is an ABA bird for me after spending decent time in habitat they breed and/or migrate through lol.
