Continuing in vegetation between shoreline and boat launch access road. First heard at 7:04 on shoreline (identified by F. Sencher) in the company of m. obs. Then, at 7:32, from edge closest to road, when I was alone, heard it again (recording attached) and obtained very brief—3–4 secs at most—obscured view of a yellowish bird, smaller than WTSP, but larger than RCKI, foraging close to the ground. On the recording, the chip note is heard at 0.1 second (right at the beginning) and 9.0 seconds. ID supported by E. Politz, D. Bernstein, and S. Lane. Remainder of recording captures only WTSPs and me spishing.
