Wow!! 0625 saw an NSWO lit up by my headlamp ~300m up from the gate on Arboretum Drive. Switched the headlamp off immediately and got some pics with the IR cam. The time stamp is ~22 minutes slow. They flew off to the north after a few minutes of observation. I kept walking and had another brief sighting another ~250m up the road at 0635. Could have been two birds but I cant rule out a redundancy especially because I was walking in the same direction the owl flew. Perched only a few feet up in young redcedars both times. No vocalizations
