Amazing find by Emile! Successfully 2 day twitch from Victoria. Even though the duck wasn’t seen for a couple days prior to my trip up I thought it was just because people hadn’t been looking. I took the risk and set up for this once in a decade find. The morning started with a big relief once D.B had alerted the duck wasn’t still there. I spotted the bird after about 20minutes of scoping. With the bird being very distant I sat patiently for 4 hours either waiting for it to come to me or the tide getting low enough that I could get to it. After the tide got low enough I got identifiable record shots. Small brown arctic sea duck with two white wing bars.
