Mostly black upperwings with white shaft streaks in primaries; completely white tail, suggestive of D. sanfordi. Although the bird had a faint discontinuous line of white speckling on the leading edge of the forewings (visible in some photos only), the black carpal wedge on the underwing was evident - therefore diagnosed as D. sanfordi rather than immature D. epomophora.
