Observed 3 total RNGRs, 1 pair on the south side of the road and the other individual on the north side of the road. I snapped a couple of mediocre photos with my phone. The large wetlands along this stretch of the gravel road provide great habitat for RNGRs and many other wetland birds. This was one of my favorite wetlands to visit when I was training summer field assistants on wetlands birds over the past 30+ years. RNGRs regularly nest in these wetlands.
