Foraging on the Fucus and other seaweed on the riprap at the south end of the island. Stunning grayish sparrow with white throat and streaked underparts, yellow lores, hefty bill, and brown in wings and tail. Ruled out Savannah Sparrow by direct comparison and by overall gray, rather than the dark, brown streaking on chest of Savannah Sparrow. Also by bill shape.
