#01 1537 RTHA On the uptown side of the Church of the Intercession’s metal cross with three circles above the bell tower facing the west side. Still there by 1549. Off by 1556 seen from the northwest corner of Trinity Church. • Plus 0: Spotted an adult along Riverside Drive proper north of West 156th Street. It was kiting over the park west of Riverside Drive and facing the river from 1557. At 1601 it drifted a block or two uptown to kite again over the park then headed towards the east side shortly after. • Plus 0: Spotted the same hawk north and east of the Church of the Intercession. It went into a dive with tucked wings forming a heart shape and landed on the Church of the Intercession’s metal cross with three circles above the bell tower by 1605. It perched on the uptown side again. Still there by 1616. • Plus 1: One with a rat on the south edge of the tree line along the park seen from West 155th Street. It was approximately at West 160th Street when I lost it while checking the time which was 1610. • Plus 1: One well south of the West 155th Street overlook near the east edge of the main red apartment building in line with Riverside Drive proper from 1615. • Plus 0: ❗️Adult from downtown to a nest on the west side of the Henry Hudson Parkway. This structure was spotted last year so I walked back to check on it when a Red-tailed Hawk landed in the nest with a full crop at 1651. Nest visible from just downtown and parallel to the Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park signage. It’s just uptown from the double staircase inside the park. The nest is just below eye level from Riverside Drive proper.
