Really cool experience down by the river. Watched a pair foraging amidst the boulders and swift rapids of the river. They would dive into the roiling water, disappearing underneath or skittering along the top, almost running upstream. Then would jump back up on a rock again to take a break. Male would occasionally flare tail and point his head up towards the sky in a display. Male gray and brown streaked above, white with gray streaks below, bold black and white head pattern. Female gray and burnt orange. Both with red/black bills and feet. Also saw a pair perched preening on a boulder upstream.
