2nd stop here this morning, and Surf Scoter is now present with Long-tailed Duck. Both, the Long-tailed Duck and Surf Scoter found yesterday by Tommy Goodwin. Both birds sticking together closely while feeding during this entire stop. Long-tailed Duck is presumably a female, and based on overall pale color of bill (almost appearing pinkish), I believe Surf Scoter is a first winter male. Quite impressive how long the two would stay underwater.
