This bird was first photographed around 8 am by an unknown birder (who was unsure of the ID) and a photo made its way to me with a vague location. I located it at the family beach. It swam up and down the family beach (lagoon) just off the shoreline for the duration of this checklist. No obvious indication of a health issue at this point. Was reported to be diving early in the day and preening.
