One pair in the scrub patch just after crossing the village in Hegganur, a pair just before the Arkavathi bridge and a small flock of 4 birds in a Prosopis patch just after crossing the bridge. Heard every possible vocalization of this species today and got a bunch of audio recordings with a few photos. Incredibly difficult to photograph and seemed to call sporadically (sometimes continuously) while hopping around deep inside the prosopis/acacia in the 12PM heat Actual count was some 8-9 birds, but reviewers never seem to approve my high counts so I'll just keep it at 6
