Estimate of numbers. Counted out several groups of 50 and used that to estimate on all three rock surfaces occupied by the colony, not including estimating the number on the outlying rock stack in the distance with gannets on top or counting gannets in the air. Observed: gannets on well built mounds; gannets gathering seaweed, fresh grass and straw like material and returning to the nest; gannets displaying breeding behaviors of bill and neck motions and copulation; gannets fighting (rarely).
