****very rare, juv, only a handful of records in NV (though one in the state right now), and this is narrowly the northernmost eBird record in the western US. One of the first birds I saw as I arrived, briefly soaring above the trees, I was able to track it down and get pics. It was hunting around the area, moving N and S quite a bit, but I didn’t see it again after about 10am, so it may have departed.
