A pair of Laughing Doves feeding on the ground near a puddle. Laughing Doves (Spilopelia senegalensis) are common and widespread – they are found from India through the Middle East to southern Africa. Like most pigeons, Laughing Doves stay within flying distance of water. This pair of Laughing Doves was feeding on the ground next to a puddle after recent rain at the Pilanesberg Centre in Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa. Elevation: 1146 m.
