Recorded while one of the Kaka was watching me from only 3 m away.

This was untracked bush so it was likely they had encountered very few humans before. I did not use any playback to attract them. I was moving slowly along a forested ridge. They were very vocal in the distance (maybe 100 m away) for an hour or so before I actually saw them, but all of a sudden four (possibly five) swooped in to my location (not sure if they did this on purpose). They then watched and followed me closely from the beech forest canopy for 15 min. One in particular flew to a tree only a couple of metres away and spent 2-3 mins watching me. The others stayed in the canopy about 10 m away. This is when I took photos and made recording. They took off suddenly, but I continued to hear them as they flew in and out of nearby gullies.
