NOTES: General climate: DRY; Weather: WIND; SINK HOLE AREA IN SEMI-DESERT REGION. VARIOUS CALLS AND SONG. BIRDS FLYING RATHER LOW AFTER HAVING JUST COME OUT OF SINK HOLE. CONTINUATION OF LNS 08073; MADE NEXT DAY. LOUD AT 0:45. [There are many birds here, so it is at times difficult to differentiate many of the vocalizations. This said, almost all of this appears to represent the clear "weet" or "cheweet" chatter described in BNA (BEST part 2:01-2:12). I was also able to differentiate songs at 0:22, 3:06-3:18, 4:24, 4:34, 4:52, 5:34 (BEST), 5:46, 7:06 (decapitated), and 10:51. What I believe is the lower-pitched "choo" call is found repeatedly at 11:14-12:12 and 12:37-12:50. I believe the "bzzrt" calls given intermittently at 5:55-6:29 are those of Spiza americana. Quality changed from 3-1 to 2, 2-3 (signal is very weak for most of this) - CAM - 26 January 2005]. Same subject(s) as LNS 8075.
