eBird flagged as rare. Heard first but couldn't see because I thought it was a flyby and I was looking up. Heard again and saw the two birds on the dry flats E of the big pond, about here: 26.472186, -81.901363. As soon as I saw them I knew they were Pluvialis plovers, but the call was shorter and a little more urgent than Black-bellied (there were many of these around). I put the scope on them and could see the smaller, thinner bill and warmer color. They were a little skittish and flew several times, when I could see the gray underwing with no sign of black axillaries. They mostly kept to themselves and away from the other shorebirds in the wetter flats, but one did land close to a Black-bellied once, where I could see that these were smaller birds. I didn't get very close so the photos are not great, and no flight pictures, unfortunately. Excellent scope views, though.
