"Ksew" calls and loud, upward-slurring whines. Recorded at a range of about 5 meters while the bird was perched in canyon live oaks. During the first two vocalizations, the microphone was aimed almost 180 degrees from the bird, but then I turned it directly toward the bird for the rest of the recording. Not seen, but I heard branches move when the bird took flight. Edits: trimmed and normalized to -3 dB.
