Intermediate features between Bennett's and Speckle-throated

観察結果の詳細

Male and female. Male looks exactly like Bennett's Woodpecker with no streaks on throat. However, female looks intermediate between Bennett's and Speckle-throated with reduced brown on throat and ear coverts. Would be interesting to establish whether Gorongosa is an area of integradation/hybridisation between Bennett's and Speckle-throated.
