At the Cherry Creek Golf Club parking lot at about 9:15am. We first pulled into the Roanoke Avenue spot, and there were a bunch of birders. When we didn’t get it, we decided to take a drive to the Golf Club. We were the only two in the parking lot, and we saw it perched on a post. Flew down to the ground and then back up to various posts multiple times. Seen again at 9:35. Very cooperative until we left around 10:20. Distinct barring on chest. The barring continues all the way up into the head, but on the head the barring is denser which darkens the overall color of the head. Very small yellow bill. Distinctive black iris and yellow rings around the eye. Saw it get at least 5-10 worms and eat them. Larger than a mourning dove. White spot on the back of its head which denotes a juvenile. Also distinctive long tail with black and white patterning on the inside. Digiscoping: https://youtu.be/IyVjCblyD4A https://youtu.be/zeZPX9iJPDI
