Single Common Raven observed perched and walking along the paved shoulder of a rural highway near Garden City. Large, all-black corvid with heavy bill, domed head, shaggy throat feathers, and long, wedge-shaped tail visible in profile. Bird appeared alert and was likely foraging on roadside for roadkill or food scraps. Open grassland with roadside fence, light traffic at time of observation.
