Spent a lot of time scoping this bird to make sure the ID was correct, especially because it isn’t a RNGR irruption year. Essentially like a larger HOGR with a longer and pointed bill, almost as long as the side of the head. Head too blocky for RTLO, bill too pointed and bird too small for cormorant. Fairly far to the SW and probably only visible from the private beach (which I had permission to access today). Scope essential.
