I saw the remains of 8 Snow/Ross's Geese and 1 Sandhill Crane in the pond at the far end of the property from the entrance. I've never seen so many dead birds there before. I also saw what appeared to be a sick juvenile goose back there -- it let me get within 3 feet without moving, and was doing odd things with its head. Bird flu?
