観察結果の詳細

While sitting in my car I saw a large light-colored bird alight in a White Birch. Since the tree is adjacent to a pasture/hayfield, I thought it might be a Red-tailed Hawk, but then I saw the large round head. The weather was foggy and mid-30's. My binoculars confirmed it was an owl, and I was able to take some photos without disturbing the owl. Lifetime first photo of the species.
