astonishing high count for the region; all appeared adult plumaged but may have included some young of year from the PMI pair. All perched together on the emerging rocks at wrack berm (the usual spot for the species along petit manan point), got a backlit digibin with 9/12 in frame. Large clownish shorebirds with black hood, long tomato red bill, white belly, brown saddle. Typical squeaky calls
