Reasonably certain. Will adjust if needed after I lighten my distant, backlit photos. Edited to add: The backlit photos were indeed the bird, but after driving over to Ballena Bay and getting better photos, we drove back to Crab Cove and got some nice sunset-lit photos of the loon as it patrolled just offshore.
