Continuing, two at this location, pecan trees and cottonwoods. We observed one caching presumably nuts under the bark of one dead cottonwood. Then it would make several trips back and forth to another nearby cottonwood, collecting a small wad of cottonwood soft bark fiber from that tree and then flying to the cache tree, possibly to pack in around the cached nuts to secure or conceal them.
