観察結果の詳細

I initially observed the Northern Shrike on the roadside while walking across the street to work after a car drove by and spooked it, causing it to fly up out of the pine trees. Afterwards it perched prominently on the top of several pine and aspen trees, politely waiting while I alerted my coworkers and ran back across the street to get my camera and binoculars. Several of us watched it hunt around the aspens by the side of the road and the willows along the Big Wood River for ~20 minutes. Great way to start the morning!!!
