Phoebe with brown head and upperparts, pale yellow from chin thru undertail coverts underparts except for extensive brownish vesting on sides of its breast. Brown on head tends to be darker than on rest of upperparts; wingbars are narrow,dull whitish and incomplete; tertials are edged with an and brighter white. Calling frequently, a soft chip note barely distinguished from similar call of BLPH.
