All feeding on the ground in the barren areas where last years grass thatch was gone and it was just low Erodium and bare dirt. Many were reaching or hopping up to pick at seed heads of Centromadia fitschi. All looked like Ruddy Horned Larks except for maybe 3-10 of them that were paler and more sand colored
