Heard around 19:45 about .5 kilometers west of trail and about 1km from the entrance. First time bird was heard we could only identify it as a strix sp. Upon approaching the bird it came a few more calls that fit Mottled Owl better than the first set. Low quality audio recorded on cell phone.
