Flushed accidentally from one of the conifers while looking at tracks on the green trail, tried following but lost it for about 15 min. About to give up when 2 blue jays began alarm calling, then saw the owl flush again. 3 crows were called in by the jays, then began mobbing the owl. The party flew into the woods down the red trail—a rough morning for the owl, but glad I got to see it!
